This is the natural Step 2. Just like Handsfree mode was oral, without books and typing, here we really bring out the big guns.

Extensive, and yet totally different.
To be launched in winter/spring 2024-2025

“…there are people out there who know so few words that they use the same words to describe both a beautiful sunset and a broken leg.”

Here are our tools and courses!

Dictation

You listen to the audio files, as many times as you want, and write in the field what you hear. Many of the words and expressions you have already heard in the hands-free courses, and you are already familiar with the “sound image”, and also the translations. Repeat, if you feel it is necessary!

Video

We will use video in two ways: Both as material to study, taken from everyday life, and also as a teaching tool. And we will  not shy away from using AI and AI generated visuals to explain speech and speech organs.

Remember “A picture says more than a thousand words”?

What about a thousand pictures, then?

Animations

We all have speech organs, but  we don’t really consider how we use them! (Because we usually dont HAVE to…)

StS settles on animations and (some) anatomy where it can be helpful to explain to a Polish why a Norwegian “Ø” is not a Polish “E”.

We will use the once dreaded dictation that we knew at school! Simply because it is such a splendid way to transform sound waves (into your ears!) into writing that others can interpret! Reading and writing is the natural next step on your way to  master your new language…
